JOSAA 2019 – rounds, eligibility, procedures, seat allotment result and dates:

JOSAA 2019 Registration will be starting from the third week of June 2019. JOSAA14 (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) is a counselling authority has been set up by the MHRD. JOSAA organizes the counselling for admission in various courses offered by IITs, NITs, IIITs and other government funded institutions. There will be a single streamline counselling procedure for admission in various courses. Here, in this article, we aregoing to provide you all the details regarding JOSAA 2019 Registration including choice filling, seat allocation & other procedures.

  • Details about the academic programs with the category-wise intake capacity and some other details will be announced on the online portal http://JOSAA.nic.in.
  • Seat for academic program with the highest possible choice  is allocated to the candidate considering the following factors:

 

  • The category [GEN, OBC-NCL, SC, etc.] of the candidate
  • The position of the candidate in respective rank list(s)
  • The order of preference of academic programs by the candidate
  • The availability of seats in different seat categories / seat quotas for which the candidate is eligible for
  • Other business rules as mentioned in this document

 

  • Policies and norms for seat allocation to NITs, IIEST, IIITs (Triple-I-Ts) and Other-GFTIs are framed by The Central Seat Allocation Board [CSAB] 2019the Central Seat Allocation Board [CSAB] 2019
  • Joint Seat Allocation Authority [JOSAA] 2019 consists of representatives from the JAB2019 and CSAB2019.

            No agency aside from JOSAA 2019 is chargeable for joint seat allocation. Candidates seeking data / help from any agency / agent aside from JOSAA 2019 shall be doing thus at their own risk and price.   • Candidates who can participate in Joint Seat Allocation:

 

  • Any candidate who satisfies one or more of the following criteria is eligible for participation in joint seat allocation:

 

  • Criterion (i): Qualified in JEE (Advanced) 2019 for academic programs [excluding the preparatory courses] at IITs

AND

satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination*” criteria as given in Annexure 2(a).

  • Criterion (ii): Qualified in JEE (Advanced) 2019 for preparatory courses at IITs

AND

satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination*” criteria as given in Annexure 2(a).

  • Criterion (iii): Secured a rank in JEE (Main) 2019 Paper-1 for B.E./B.Tech. programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs and Other-GFTIs

AND

must have passed Class XII (or equivalent) examination* with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject. Further, the candidate should have passed each subject individually as well

AND

 satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination*” criteria as given in Annexure 2(b).

  • Criterion (iv): Secured a rank in JEE (Main) 2019 Paper-2 for B.Arech./ B. Planning programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs and Other-GFTIs

AND

must have passed Class XII (or equivalent) examination* with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Further, the candidate should have passed each subject individually as well

AND

satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination*” criteria as given in Annexure 2(b).

 

  • PARETITIONING OF CANDIDATES:

  • Category tag ST-PWD: this is often allotted to Indian nationals who belong to scheduled Tribes and are Persons with Disabilities. Candidates should turn out valid ST and PWD certificates to be allotted this tag.

  • Category tag Foreign: This is assigned to candidates who are NOT Indian nationals or OCI/PIO.

  • JOSAA 2019 Registration/Counselling:

JOSAA will be conducting its counselling process in the second week of June. During the counselling process the concerned authority will be issuing the list of colleges available along with the courses they are offering. Thislist of institutes will be made for the candidates according to the eligibility criteria. Also, candidates who qualified JEE Main will be eligible for the admissions in NITs, IIITs and GFITs. Whereas, JEE Advance candidates are eligible for IITs along with the above mentioned colleges.

JOSAA Counselling 2019 will be conducted in various rounds, well in total there will be 7 rounds conducted by the concerned authority.

  • JOSAA 2019 Counselling Procedure:

 

  • The elaborated counsel procedure of JOSAA 2019 is mention below:

 

  • Registration & Choice Filling:

•          Candidates have to be compelled to click on the official link (link are going to be provided above).

•          They should login with their JEE Main roll range and secret.

•          Candidates currently fill and lock their selections for admission.

•          If candidates don't lock their selections, last saved selections are going to be latched mechanically.

 

 

  • Provisional Seat supply & Confirmation:

•          Once the seat is allotted to candidates, they need to require output signal of the tentative seat allocation letter and e-challan.

•          Candidates have to be compelled to pay the seat acceptance fee through e-challan or internet banking.

 

  • Document Verification:

 

•          Candidates area unit needed to look at the coverage centre for document verification and seat acceptance.

•          Candidates have to be compelled to bring the necessary documents alongside the photocopies for the verification method.

•          The seat are going to be confirmed once the verification of documents and payment of seat acceptance.

 

  • Reporting at assigned Institutions:

 

•          After the seat confirmation, candidates have to be compelled to report back to the assigned school or establishment.

JOSAA Counselling Fee Payment 2019:

  • If you have got secured a seat through JOSAA message 2019, certify that you simply transfer the probationary allotment letter in conjunction with the e-challan for the payment of seat acceptance fee.

 

  • Seat acceptance fee for general candidates is Rs. 45,000, whereas for SC, Gen-PWD, ST, OBC-NCL-PWD, ST-PWD and SC-PWD the fee are going to be Rs. 20,000 that may be paid either through e-challan or through SBI internet banking.

JOSAA Reporting Centres 2019:

  • Those candidates who have been allocated seats will have to report at the assigned reporting centres for verification of documents.

 

Candidates will have to carry all original mark sheets and other necessary documents at the time of verification. Those who fail to produce original documents will fail the verification round and their admission will be cancelled.

 

Candidates who have been allocated institutes other than NITs, IIITs and GFTI will have to report at the respective institute in order to confirm their admission by paying the remaining part of the first-semester fee.

REPORTING CENTERS FOR DOCUMENT VERIFICATION

Candidates ought to report nose to nose at a coverage Center for document verification before the date/time such for document verification and find the seat confirmed. The list of coverage centres is on the market on the web portal http://JOSAA.nic.in.

CHANGEOFPERSONALANDOTHERDETAILS:

ØWhen candidates will register themselves at the official website of JOSAA for the registration them must be very careful about their personal details. As, candidates will NOT be allowed to change or edit their details suchasname,father’s/mother’s/guardian’sname,dateofbirth,ClassXII(orequivalent)examination boardand(birth)category.Butcandidatescanchangetheirstateof eligibility,nationalityandgender.

 

WITHDRAW OPTION:

  • Candidates, those who have already accepted JOSAA allotted seats, can withdraw from their seat. For that they will have to report at the reporting center till the 6th round of seat allocation before the last round of seat allocation (i.e., if JOSAA conducts a total of seven rounds of seat allocation, candidates can withdraw up until during sixth round of seat acceptance period).

 

  • Candidates those who are willing to exercise withdraw option will not be considered for subsequent rounds of seat allotment. Seat acceptance fee will be refunded to these candidates after deducting the processing charges of Rs. 1500/-.

NOTE: There is no option of withdraw of an accepted/allotted seat after the announcement of last round of seat allocation.

  • For sweat withdraw choice, candidates need to complete the subsequent 2 steps.

 

  1. On the JOSAA portal match the checking account details to that the seat acceptance fee shall be refunded and transfer a picture of off cheque of identical account in JPG format. Then transfer the withdrawal request letter.

B. Each the candidate and his/her parent ought to sign the withdrawal request letter and report at a news centre to vacate the seat.

C. Candidates United Nations agency have completed (A) however not (B), that is, not reportable at a news centre, won't be treated as sweat withdraw choice. The seats accepted by such candidates won't be free and can continue in their names.

•          Photo identity cared [issued by govt. agency/last attended school/Class XII admit cared]

•          Class XII (or equivalent) board marks sheet.

•          Indian nationals who passed the qualifying examination from Nepal/Bhutan or an institution abroad must bring a passport. Permanent address given in the passport will determine state code.

•          The candidates having Senior Secondary Certificate from the National Open School must bring proof of the place of examination centre of the final examination to determine the state code.

•          Medical certificate

•          Category certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST), if applicable

For IITs:

•          Provisional seat allotment letter

•          Undertaking by the candidate
