There are six different steps involve in the counseling procedure which is given below.

  1. Registration

Once you are done with registration by filling the JEE application number and the password you will be able to access your account. You can go for the login option and start filling up the requirements. You will need to give your Email ID, contact number, nationality, gender and also the eligibility state code. One thing you need to do before a submission is going for a final check. Make sure your details are all correct and working. Further notice will reach to you through mail or message. It is a good way to stay updated, isn’t it?

  1. Fee Payment Method for JoSAA Counseling

Okay! This is the step that is right next to the selection process. Once you are allotted with the seat by the JoSAA counseling 2020 you will go for the payment process. You must carry out the allotment letter which you will need to download from the website. This provisional letter will help you out in the payment process.

You also need to carry thee-chalan which is required for seat acceptance fee payment. The payment fee is different for all the different categories.

  • The fee for seat acceptance is 45,000 (Forty-Five Thousand) for the UR category or the candidates that belong to the general category. Well, that is a huge amount! Right?
  • The payment fee for the seat acceptance regarding the candidates belong to ST, SC, OBC-NCL, UR-PwD, ST-PwD, SC-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD will be 20,000 (Twenty Thousand).
  • The fees can be paid either through the-chalan or Banking process such as SBI net banking.

Well, the amounts that you paid will be included in the semester fees once you are confirmed with the admission in your desired institute. After all, your money won’t be wasted; you are the one who will utilize it in your academic work.

  1. Choice Filling

This must be your favorite step among all the procedures. Here, you will get the chance to select the institute that you truly dreamed of your whole life. This must be the most awaited part, isn’t it?  So, in the choice filling form, you can give the institute of your best choice and the rank you have secured in the JEE Mains and the JEE advanced.

You must give your category also. Make sure you got the idea about the seating capacity and the availability of the institute you would like to study. You don’t want to end up getting a congested seat in your dreamed institute and ultimately no seat at all. You don’t want to face this kind of issue, don’t you? Before taking any step you must think about the true scenario and the consequences.

  1. Locking of Choice Filled

After the choices filing is over you need to lock your own choice. It will make your choice more secured and you don’t need to worry in case you press the back button on your window. However, your choice will be saved after closing the window automatically but you don’t need to take the risk. You need to check on your own eyes. For the further process or to prove you must take a print out of your filled choice.

  • Sliding: This option is only for those who are completely satisfied with the judgment and doesn’t want any changes in the institute. But if there is any up-gradation needed for changes in the courses within the same institute you can go for this option.
  1. Reporting Centre
  • The candidate who has allotted to an institute through the counseling process must reach the center before the deadline and report to the administrative. You need to verify your documents for admission purposes. Well, you are allotted to your dream university so what are you waiting for. Go and explore it at once.
  • You have to carry all the documents that are required for verification. In includes your payment chalan, seat acceptance fee receipt and all the record you have till now. Along with the JoSAA record, you need to carry all the relevant documents that are mentioned. It is better to check the JoSAA website for the entire requirements before you leave your hometown.
  • You need to carry the original documents and in case you are not able to show the original record at the reporting center, your admission process will be canceled and rejected. That’s a scary situation!
  • Once you are selected for admission to the national institute, government funding institute, central funding institute or any other technical institute, you need to submit your semester fee to the concerned institute. Those who filled the desired amount of money will get the confirmation of the seat.
