Duration = Three Year Degree Course

The program is spread over three academic sessions from January to December which is further divided into six semesters i.e. from May to June and July to December every year. The examination procedure is semester wise i.e. at the end of each semester. Law College Durgapur primarily started with this course one year after its inception i.e. 2005 session. The Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree was first originated in England. Students can start their careers in law only after completion of an undergraduate degree or as an integrated degree after completion of their senior secondary education.

Duration = Five Year Integrated Degree Course

Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (B.A. LL.B.) at Law College Durgapur is a dual degree professional course in administrative law. The curriculum is framed to integrate the subjects of Arts with Law. It covers Arts field areas such as Economics, History, Sociology etc. alongside specialized subjects of law like Criminal Law, Corporate Law, Patent Law, Administrative Law, Tax Law. Though, the main focus is given to the Law part.

Law College Durgapur started its popular 5-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) degree course from the session 2006. The course is designed to be completed in five academic sessions from July to June, which are further divided into ten semesters i.e. from July to December and January to June every year.

 

  1. PGDCL(Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Law):

Duration = One Year Post Graduate Diploma Course

The college introduced one year Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Law (PGDCM) from 2010 academic session. Current scenario demands high understanding of cyber knowledge and expertise. The curriculum encompasses the study of laws which make up the cyber norms. This program at Law College Durgapur lays out a comprehensive field of study which helps students get an overview of the complexity involved with the use of internet and the legal problems associated with it while working in an industry as IT has become an indispensable part of every firm.
