Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2019 – rounds, eligibility, procedures, seat allotment result and dates:

Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2019: will commence in late July according to the information provided by the council sources. So finally, folks it’s your time to prove your ability in your dream field and secure a seat in one of the many prestigious colleges taking part in the counselling.

Being conducted via online mode, Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2019 are to be held from third week of June. Candidates enrolling for NEET examinations can get admissions in their desired colleges and universities through their NEET scores.

There are many new medical colleges in Maharashtra enhanced facilities and infrastructure. Throughout the counselling process candidates need to check the official websites for all the information regarding government and private medical/ dental seats. Maharashtra NEET counselling 2019 is managed by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Maharashtra. The counselling is conducted for the remaining 15% of seats after AIQ counselling.

Maharashtra counselling forms are to be filled in order to take part in NEET state quota counselling. The allotment of the seats will be on the basis of candidate’s scores in his/her written test.

The concerned authority will be issuing merit list for the students eligible for the counselling. The registration can be done via online mode. Registration fee is 2000/- which will not be refunded.

 

  • Maharashtra NEET Counselling Fee 2019:

 

The candidate desirous of admission through NEET UG 2019 in the State of Maharashtra will have to pay fee Rs 1,000/- as the administrative charge. The Candidate shall Pay by Challan at State Bank of India of Rs 1,000/- + Rs. 60/- Bank Charges (One Thousand Sixty Only). This amount is not refundable.

  • Procedure for Selection & Admission:
  • Registration:  Online counselling will be done for the selection of the Candidates. Candidates will have to register themselves on the counselling website to participate in the counselling.
  • Choice filling: Candidates have to fill in their choice preference then on the basis of rank obtained and availability of seats allotment will be done.
  • Admission & reporting at the college: Original documents are to be carried by the candidates at the time of admission to the allotted college. After which candidates will have to report to the allotted college within a particular time period.

 

  • Number of attempts:

The restrain on the number of attempts was removed last year which is also not applicable for this year as well.

According to the authority as long as the candidate can fulfill all the mentioned eligibility criteria he/she can appear in the entrance exam as many times as they wish to do.

l.Provisional Merit List:

  • The merit list is compiled under some basic guidelines directed by Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India.
  • The eligibility is laid out according to the Graduate Medical Education Regulations 1997.
  • The determinants of NEET 2019 merit list includes the following terms:
  1.  An applicant must achieve minimum marks of 50th percentile in the entrance exam.
  2. The numbers of candidates to be included in the merit list are pre- determined.
  3. But in case required number of candidates fails to do so, then the central govt. in consultation with MCI and DCI may lower the required marks.
  4. At last candidates must have passed individually in their respective subjects and also they must have secured 50% in all these subjects.

 

l.Document Verification:

  • Shortlisted candidates will be able to proceed for the verification process.
  • Candidates are required to choose any one centre for document verification at the time of registration.
  • Candidates have to bring their original documents along with the photocopies.
  • If candidates fail to produce the relevant documents they will be considered as ineligible.
  • After the document verification, a revised merit list will be published for further rounds.

 

  • Choice filling by the candidates according to their preference:
  • Availability of choice locking in provided only for a specific period of time.
  1. After registering yourself for the NEET 2019 Counselling completely, select the ‘choice available’ option.
  2. As soon as you click ‘choice available’ option system will assess all your given data such as category, sub category, date of birth, eligibility and then accordingly fetches all the available choices along with number of seats available.
  3. At the left side corner there will be all the choices available whereas, at the right side corner there will be submitted choices on the screen.
  4. Select medical/dental colleges in order of your preference. After you’re done with that complete the task by entering your password and clicking on ‘lock choices’.
  5. We advise you to think carefully and be sure about your choices as, candidates will not be allowed to make any changes after the whole choice filling process is done.
  6. Lastly, make sure you don’t forget to take a printout of the locked choice.

 

  • How exactly seats are allotted in NEET 2019 Counselling?
  • Candidates will receive SMS or E-mail regarding their allotted course and college after few days of counselling.
  • Seat allotment is done on the basis of candidates rank, category and their college choice filled by them during choice filling.
  • As the college is allotted to the candidate, they are expected to report there in given period of time otherwise the seat allotted to them will be allotted to the next candidate.

 

l.Reporting to the Allotted College:

·As per the seat allotment, candidates have to report to the allotted college.

·Candidates must carry their original documents and their photocopies at the allotted college in the prescribed date and timing.

·The respective college authority will verify the document before finalizing the admission.
