Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College was the first law college started in south India and the second oldest college in India.

Duration = 5-year Integrated double degree program and 3-year degree program respectively

Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College is considered one of the oldest law schools in India which is programmed on the five-year and three-year law degree model proposed and implemented by the Bar Council of India. The college offers a five-year integrated B.A. LL.B degree programme divided into ten semesters and an LL.B. program divided into 6 semesters. These programs expose the students belonging to all cultural diversities, to Indian modes of legal education (which emphasize critical and analytical thinking) as well as and substantive law, having a firm basis in reality.
