JEE Main College Predictor 2020

JEE Main College Predictor 2020 is the tool which enables the students to check their probability of getting the desired engineering colleges. JEE Main College Predicator 2020 is for those students waiting for the results to be announced. After giving the exams the students get an idea of how they have performed in the exams with the help of JEE Main Rank Predictor tool. It provides an analysis based on the rank as well as the college which could be provided to the candidates as per his/her rank. After the confirmation of the ranks the candidates then opt for JEE Main College Predictor which gives them a tentative idea of the college they can get as per their rank and score in JEE Main.

Now days there are a lot of online JEE Main College Predictor tools available online, where a candidate can use it for determining his estimated list of colleges. The JEE Main College Predictor doesn’t give exact college but it would surely provide a rough idea about the options available for all colleges as per candidates’ rank and how much more marks will be needed to qualify for the second i.e. JEE Advanced.

After getting the ranks candidates start looking apprehensively for the colleges. There are many institutions which provide list of colleges via JEE Main College Predictor just like us i.e. Admission Advice.  JEE Main 2020 January session will end in between 6 – 9 September, 2020 and students can predict their colleges with the help of JEE Main College Predictor to get an idea of which college will come as per their score in the exam.

How to use JEE Main College Predictor 2020 tool:

For using this tool candidates must follow the steps mentioned below:

  • On the webpage go to the Predictor section and click on “JEE Main College Predictor”.
  • Then click on the box of JEE Main College Predictor.
  • There will be an online form type format where the candidate must fill his details like Name, Email, Mobile Number, State, percentile and JEE Main Rank 2020.
  • After filling up the details the candidate will receive an OTP which was registered and his rank will be shown in a new webpage.
  • After entering the rank on the JEE Main College Predictor tool and submitting it a list of colleges will appear on the new webpage screen as per the rank of the candidate.

Factors affecting the JEE Main College Predictor:

  • Number of candidates appeared in that particular session.
  • JEE Main Difficulty level of Exam.
  • Previous year cut off trend and their analysis.
  • Seats available in different courses and different colleges.

Reason behind using JEE Main College Predictor 2020 tool:

After taking the data of the institutes providing courses such as engineering a data base is prepared. The data help the candidate/student to analyse his/her probability in getting the desired college as per his expectation after the JEE exam. Apart from this there are other benefits of using these predictor tools:

  • A tentative idea provided by the predictor tool make the students mentally prepare for getting a college.
  • It also analyse the students’ true potential and where he stands in this competitive world.
  • If expectation meets the needs the students/ candidate then they stay one step ahead from other students and prepare themselves well in the process of getting admission.

How to Calculate the percentile for JEE Main Exam 2020, for JEE Main College Predictor:

There is a formula on the basis of which the percentile is calculated the formula is:

100 X Number of candidates appeared in the ‘Session’ with raw score equal to or less than the candidate / Total number of candidates who have appeared in that session.

Let us take an example:

Suppose if a student gets 70 percent marks and the total number of students who got 70% marks or less are 15000 in number, the total number of aspirants in that session is 18000, then the percentile would be: 100 X 15000 / 18000 = 83.33 %.

JEE Main Counselling:

For both the JEE Exams i.e. JEE Mains and JEE Advanced, the government body that conducts the whole process of counselling is known as JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). Earlier there was another body named as JAB (Joint Admission Board) representing IIT’s counselling and CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) which do counselling on behalf of NIT’s and GFIT’s. In the year 2015 a memo was signed declaring that these two counselling bodies will be united and will together be known as JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority).
