Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020 conducts a state level entrance examination for taking admissions in the three years LLB Programme. The PU LLB  exam is an offline mode exam which have both subjective and objective type questions. This year the Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020 will be conducted on May 24, 2020. The Panjab University, Chandigarh conducts the Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020 for admissions to the LLB (Bachelor of Laws) Three Year programme. There are four law departments which are affiliated to the Panjab University. The law aspirants who have completed their graduation with any recognized Bachelor’s degree they are in the process of completing the same are eligible to apply for LLB admissions through Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020 is a State University which is located in the Chandigarh, Punjab. This University came into existence in the year 1882 and it is one of the oldest university lists all over India. Language Comprehension: The English language consists of contents like: Reading comprehension, Synonyms, Antonyms, Homonyms, Vocabulary, One Word Substitution, Idioms, Figures of Speech, Homophones, Proverbs and other Grammar portions.

General Awareness & Current Affairs: Indian & World History, Geography, Environment, Indian Culture, Constitution, Pacts, Major developments in the area of sports, Legal System, Treaties, Science and Technology, Indian National Movement, etc

Reasoning, Mental Ability : Mental and Logical reasoning, Deductive Reasoning, Critical reasoning, Blood relations, Logical fallacy, Analogy, Syllogism, Agreement and Disagreement, etc.

Legal Aptitude: candidates need to cover topics like Torts, Law of Crimes, Indian Constitution, Contracts Law, Vicarious Liability, Strict Liability, Intellectual Property Rights, and International Laws, etc.

Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020: Exam Centres

Exam Centre: Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020 is going to take place in the campus of Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Id Proof: Candidates are advised to carry the admit card alongwith a valid ID proof failing to which the candidate is not allowed to sit in the examination. Students are also requested to reach the exam centre one hour before the examination starts, so that they can go through the initial process of verification. Latecomers to the exam centres were not permitted to write the exam.

 

Eligibility Criteria for Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020:

For being eligible to appear for Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020, aspiring candidates are needed to meet the following minimum eligibility criteria prescribed by the Panjab University.

 

Educational Qualification:

  • A candidate must possess a graduation from a recognized institute.
  • A candidate who had a Masters’ degree can also apply.
  • The minimum percentage of marks is 45% at the level of graduation (40% for SC/ST category)
  • English is a must up to 12th
  • Candidates who are appearing for the final year graduation examinations are also eligible to apply for Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020.
  • All the aspirants who have completed graduation through the distance mode of education are not eligible for the Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020.
  • Candidates who had done schooling from distance education system are not eligible to give Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020.
  • Those applicants who are living abroad at the time of Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020 will be exempted from the test.

The application of Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020 must be filled carefully by the candidates as once the application form is submitted no alteration in the application form is made by them. Candidates must fill the complete form as the application process doesn’t complete until all the details are filled in the application form. The candidate must go through the eligibility criteria mentioned in the Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020 before filling the application form. A candidate must enter all the details related to personal, academic, professional, etc. The candidate is advised to note down the credentials i.e. email id and password allotted at the time of filling up the form. Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020: Admit Card

The candidates after filling the application form and fees can download the admit card before few days of the examination. The students are advices to take at least two copies of the admit card i.e. one for the exam centre and the other for future references. No entry is allowed without the admit card and identity proof. Admit card essential details of the candidates like name, roll number, enrolment number, exam day, centre and time, etc.

 

Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020: Result

The result of Panjab University Law Entrance Exam 2020 will be declared on the official website of Panjab University. On the basis of marks secured by the candidate in the entrance exam, separate Merit List will be prepared for undergraduate law courses. A cut-off will be fixed by the University at the time of declaration of Entrance Result. Candidate can check their result by providing the Application number.The students who will qualify the Entrance Exam will be able to download their rank cards from the official website by providing their application number. The candidate having a rank above the cut-off rank shall be invited for counselling. In case one or more candidate secures the same marks then tie-breaking shall be used.
