Firstly, Guru Brahma Nand Ji Govt Polytechnic Nilokheri is one of the premier Technical Institution in the country with an international repute.
In fact, Guru Brahma Nand Ji Govt Polytechnic Nilokheri is situated at a distance of 143 Km. from Delhi on National Highway-I towards the north.
However, Guru Brahma Nand Ji Govt Polytechnic Nilokheri was originally located at Rasool (West Punjab) as Govt. school of Engg.
But after partition, it was shifted to Chhachrauli (Distt. Yamunanagar) and subsequently to Nilokheri in 1951.
Moreover, Nilokheri Polytechnic, Nilokheri, Haryana established by the Govt. of India in 1947, was already in existence.

Guru Brahma Nand Ji Govt Polytechnic Nilokheri

In fact, both these institutes kept running simultaneously till 1958.
After that, these were merged on the recommendation of Govt. of India.
Further, named as Punjab Polytechnic, Nilokheri with the reorgan0izing of the State on November 1, 1966.
However, this institute was renamed as Haryana Polytechnic, Nilokheri, it was again renamed as Govt. Polytechnic Nilokheri.
In view of the rapid industrial growth, Polytechnics have to redefine themselves and come with a shoulder to shoulder status with the industry.
We must keep a tap with the industrial growth and close interaction with the industry to developed status thereby assuming the role of instructor to the industry to develop human resources which is compatible to today’s world of work from day one.
Gone are the days of chalk and dust. We are not to teach the books to the students.
